My Little Lightning Bolt

August 29, 2009

Today was no ordinary Saturday. Nope. This particular Saturday was a BIG DEAL in the Zimmermann household. It was almost — almost – as big a deal as August 22, the day my son turned five. It may sound sillly, but it’s true. August 29, 2009 goes down in the kid’s memory book as a major milestone date because it marks his very first AYSO soccer game.

Introducing one of Region 68′s lightning bolts! Man, he looks so grown up to me …

Goooooo Lightning Bolts!

My little guy is #4. I loved watching him go after the ball.

He has taken an affinity for the goalie position.

Using today as a benchmark, it’s clear that I will need to allocate lots of disk space for soccer photos and video footage from here on it.

Sarah Cawthra: K will be SO jealous! He can't start AYSO until next fall, and he's already been talking about it all summer. I signed him up for a rec class this fall to get us through... K and N are really two peas in a pod aren't they?

viviZ: I know! Can you imagine how much fun they (and we) would have if we lived nearby??
